Briefly describe the position responsibilities:
Supervises a staff of up to 10 - 16 team members performing work in the outbound Shipping Department. Plans, organizes, directs and runs the day-to-day operations to achieve daily, weekly and monthly goals. This job requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a warehousing/operations environment. The job involves supervisory responsibilities as well as some administrative responsibilities. The position will follow general guidelines as provided by the director of warehouse operations. This position reports directly to the director of warehouse operations.

Education/Experience:
Language Ability:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and direct reports.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, and decimals. Ability to develop basic formula(s).
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should advanced computer and spreadsheet abilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly oversees the activities of up to 16 direct reports, being responsible for the performance of those individuals. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Will provide motivation, guidance, coaching and counseling as necessary to all direct reports. Required to complete performance evaluations of direct reports.
Work Environment:
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to forklifts and motorized conveyors. The employee’s work will be performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse 85% (estimated) of the time, with the other 15% (estimated) being performed in an office environment. The employee will be exposed to moderate noise levels.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch.
The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
