Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Student Services Coordinator to support students in their educational journey. This role serves as both an on-site and remote liaison, ensuring smooth program operations and fostering student engagement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about empowering individuals through education and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in student recruitment and orientation activities for various programs.
Administer and manage assessment materials, including CASAS appraisals, pre-tests, and post-tests.
Maintain accurate student records and ensure timely submission of paperwork to administrative offices.
Provide both in-person and remote support to students, addressing inquiries and resolving technical issues.
Offer excellent customer service by greeting visitors and handling incoming phone calls professionally.
Promote program offerings to target communities and engage with external organizations.
Monitor student recruitment, retention, and attendance to ensure program success.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to supervisors.
Organize and maintain both physical and digital student records in a structured manner.
Coordinate the purchase and distribution of materials and supplies.
Manage student enrollment and registration processes efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized site in collaboration with staff.
Ensure compliance with health department regulations for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
Work closely with instructors to foster a positive student experience.
Support office operations through clerical tasks and office upkeep.
Track and manage the distribution of technological devices to students.
Process student enrollments, transcript requests, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Bilingual in Spanish required.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or some college coursework preferred.
At least two years of relevant experience preferred.
Travel Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance.
Travel up to 40% may be required.
Physical Demands:
Regular use of hands for handling materials and computer work.
Frequent standing, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms.
Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Work Environment:
Combination of indoor office settings and occasional outdoor work.
Exposure to various weather conditions.
Potential risk of electrical shock when handling certain equipment.
