Join the JEVS Team as an HVAC Assistant Instructor at Orleans Technical College!
Location: Philadelphia, PA | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:10 PM | Pay: $25.00/hr

Are you ready to pass on your knowledge and experience in the HVAC trade to the next generation of technicians? Orleans Technical College, a proud program of JEVS Human Services , is looking for a dedicated HVAC Assistant Instructor to support our mission of transforming lives through career-focused education.

What You’ll Do

As our HVAC Assistant Instructor, you’ll work alongside our lead instructors to support students through hands-on learning and technical instruction. You’ll help build student skills in safety, refrigeration, heating systems, electrical fundamentals, and more—preparing them for successful careers in the HVAC industry.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Assisting with lesson plans, student evaluations, and classroom materials.

  • Providing supervision and guidance during hands-on projects and equipment use.

  • Setting up tools, instructional materials, and lab environments.

  • Maintaining and organizing shop equipment.

  • Covering classroom instruction when the lead instructor is absent.

  • Supporting test grading and recording student progress.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of verifiable experience in the HVAC or related technical field.

  • A passion for teaching and mentoring others in a structured, supportive setting.

  • Willingness to work closely with instructors and follow curriculum guidance.

  • Prior teaching or training experience is a plus but not required—we’ll help you grow!

The base pay for this position is $25.00. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
