Job Title: Activities / Life Enrichment Director

Company: Sunflower Communities

Schedule: Full-Time + Weekends and Evenings

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year

Position Overview:

Are you an outside-the-box thinker that is looking to put their creative mind towards new activities for senior citizens? Sunflower Communities is seeking an experienced Activities / Life Enrichment Director for our assisted living facility in Waconia, MN! Join us in a position that supports our staff and residents at Nagel Assisted Living. We are searching for someone who has a positive attitude, is passionate about activities and getting residents involved in the community, and a love for meeting and interacting with people!

Activities / Life Enrichment Director Responsibilities:

  • Lead volunteer based activities and programs that enrich the lives of Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
  • Collaborate with other departments and leaders to develop and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses and social organizations to establish an active network of volunteers and community resources
  • Maintain a calendar of activities and events that provide a variety of resident and family centered experiences.
  • Budget preparation and monitoring of expenses and financial statements to meet revenue and budget targets for the department.

Activities / Life Enrichment Director Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Activities in Senior Living - At least one year of job related supervisory experience preferably in a senior living environment.
  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to train and motivate volunteers and fellow team members to provide the best in quality activity programming
  • Knowledge of local state and federal regulations pertaining to resident care and services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of residents and staff.
